Nitrile Rubber is a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer that is utilised as a general-purpose, oil-resistant polymer in a variety of applications. The resistance of Nitrile Rubber to oil increases as the percentage of nitrile in its composition increases. As a result, it's an excellent copolymer for rubber seals and gaskets in the transportation industry.

Nitrile-Butadiene, Acrylonitrile Butadiene, and Buna-N are all names for the same substance. Butadiene and acrylonitrile react to form NBR, which is a copolymer.

NBR is often used at temperatures ranging from -40 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.

It has good resistance to fuel, solvents, mineral and vegetable oils, and hydraulic fluid in addition to oil. This trait could be combined with a moderate ability to withstand ozone exposure.
